Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as your login, delivery location, and cart) so you do not have to set them again on every page or visit.

We also use similar technologies such as local storage, which works in the same way but keeps information in your browser rather than sending it with each request.

Cookies we use

We use the following categories of cookies and storage on groceryghar.com:

• Essential: keep you signed in, protect your session, remember your selected store and delivery address, and hold the items in your cart. The site cannot work properly without these.
• Preferences: remember choices such as dismissed prompts, so we do not show them again unnecessarily.
• Analytics: help us understand which pages and products are popular so we can improve the store. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
• Third-party services: Google Maps (for address selection), Google Sign-In, and our payment provider may set their own cookies when you use those features. Their use is governed by their respective privacy policies.

How long cookies stay

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies and local storage remain until they expire or you clear them. Your sign-in session refreshes automatically while you keep using the store and expires after a period of inactivity.

Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking new ones. Most browsers also let you clear site data for a single website.

Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in, keeping items in your cart, or completing checkout.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
